Disease Diagnosis
fUNGAL DECAY
Trees are susceptible to a number of decay fungi such as Artist's Conk and Honey Fungus. Some fungi are benign, others slow acting, whilst others are very dangerous. We identify the fungus from the mushroom growing on or near the tree, or take samples for lab testing. Our experts will advise on the best course of action.
Bacteria and pathogens
Tree decline and disease can be caused by other pathogens such as Phytophora and bacterial blight. We will identify these from symptoms on the tree or leaves and undertake further lab testing if required. Once identified, we can advise on appropriate management.
DISEASE DIAGNOSIS
We assess trees to identify disease and decay. Once the disease type is identified we will recommend solutions, where feasible. A range of mushrooms and bacteria can cause decay, and we will identify these. Samples can be taken for lab identification if needed. We provide a full range of sampling and work with one of NZ's leading laboratories.
PLANTING AND MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS
Tree decline, slow growth, and leaf problems are often the result of incorrect planting or poor tree care. Planting position, soil type, inadequate water, soil compaction, incorrect staking, and a range of other issues can cause tree decline. We can rescue trees, and improve their health by recommending basic solutions to address problems.
